Perfection
Perfection
A delicate balance between the seen and the unseen, Perfection captures a fleeting moment of ethereal beauty suspended in time. The chrysanthemum, often a symbol of purity and transcendence, emerges from an aqueous dreamscape—its petals frozen in a state of pristine stillness, untouched by imperfection yet inherently fragile. The interplay of light and texture, reflected on the brushed aluminum surface, transforms the image into something fluid and ever-changing, much like our perception of beauty, identity, and existence.
Rooted in my artistic exploration of the subconscious and the liminal spaces between reality and illusion, Perfection questions whether true flawlessness exists or if it is merely an illusion shaped by light, water, and reflection. The iridescent hues and shimmering metallic finish invite the viewer to engage in self-reflection—what do we consider perfect, and does this state ever truly exist?
Much like water, which both reveals and distorts, this piece oscillates between clarity and ambiguity, inviting the viewer into a meditative dialogue with their own perceptions of self, time, and transformation.
