COLLAGES, Ongoing intuitive series, 2016–present
This series grew out of stillness - moments between projects when my hands needed to stay busy and my mind needed to rest.
Unlike my photographic work, which demands preparation, equipment, and physical effort, collage allows me to create instantly, intuitively. It’s a fast, meditative, and deeply tactile process. I flick through magazines and books, letting my eyes pause on fragments that attract me. My mind begins to assemble them without conscious thought, rearranging small pieces of reality into new constellations. Sometimes the compositions are structured and deliberate; other times they are wild, layered, and full of contradictions. Each collage is a reflection of a moment — a glimpse of emotion captured before it fades.
I think with my hands — they make sense of what my mind can’t explain.
Collage for me is a way to stay connected to the act of making. It fills the space between larger works, reminding me that creativity doesn’t always need grand intention — sometimes it just needs movement, instinct, and the quiet joy of transformation.
Below you can find a gallery of selected collages. Each piece exists as a unique work on paper, some of which may later reappear within larger installations or mixed-media projects.
